Tripod Upgrade Recap

Webon Upgrade Recap: A little over a month ago we launched Webon 3.0. There were a few hiccups with tables and with sites converted from Trellix to Webon, but overall the upgrade went smoothly. We appreciate your patience with us as we work through each and every problem that has been reported. We are continually working to resolve any bugs and make the overall experience better. Additionally, we're working to make the Add-ons, Text Editor, and existing Styles work a bit more smoothly and also to improve the overall speed of Webon. We are also reading the messages in the Tripod Club, on Facebook, and looking at the tickets that get escalated to us from the Support team. We are actively responding to your individual issues and putting in permanent fixes for anything we track down.

Tripod Control Panel Improvements: This month we released a new version of the Control Panel for Tripod based in large part on your feedback. People were having a tough time finding some things like Domain and Email Controls so we made those into definite hyperlinks. We made the divisions between the sections more obvious and replaced most of the unlabeled icons with text labels. Thanks for your comments and for taking the survey...please keep doing that and we'll keep making improvements.

You can check our Facebook and Twitter profiles for updates and notices regarding Tripod and Webon and we also spend a lot of time in the Tripod Club answering questions and looking for reports of issues that you are having. Please use the Tripod Club as another avenue when looking for assistance with a problem you may be encountering. It's a good bunch of people who are happy to help.

In the Spotlight this Month: Karen's Celebrity Encounters

Karen and her husband first started with their celebrity encounters in June of 2007 when they met Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie at the premiere for Ocean's 13. Since then, Karen has met over 200 celebrities in Hollywood and the Los Angeles area...many well-known stars that most folks would be really impressed to see let alone get a picture with.

Karen turned to Tripod after she was asked by her family and friends to create a website dedicated to her celebrity encounters. Originally from England, this was a great way her family could share the experience with her and her husband. They spend most of their spare time tracking down celebrities, attending movie premieres and concerts.

Karen utilized a number of Tripod tools such as the Guestbook and File Manager and she also has a selection of music and videos on her site.
